EXHIBITION HIRE / EXPO HIRE HONOURS LONG SERVING STAFF AT ANNUAL BREAKFASTS |
Ten of Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire’s longest serving employees have been honoured at the company’s recent staff breakfasts in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
Employees who have been with Exhibition Hire /Expo Hire for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years were presented with awards recognising their contribution to the company and its success in Australia’s exhibition and events industries.
Jim Delahunty, CEO, Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire – who himself marked 25 years of service this year – said the annual staff breakfasts were a perfect platform to acknowledge the dedication of long-term employees before an audience of work colleagues.
“Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire supplies more than 400 events in over 100 different venues nationwide each year and we would not be able to manage this successfully without the hard work and commitment of our team, particularly those employees who have been with the company for a decade or more,” said Delahunty.
“Whether in the sales office, in the warehouse or on the exhibition floor, the award recipients have each made an outstanding contribution to making Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire one of Australia’s leading suppliers to the exhibition and event industries.”
In addition to receiving award certificates, each of long-term employees have had their name added to the honour board at Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire’s head office in Sydney.
Those who received awards were: Gary Farmer (10 years), Ivan Radich (10 years), Chris Kenyon (10 years) Danny Dowdeswell (10 years), Gregory Sweeney (15 years), Beryl Fryer (15 years), Liza Pivetta (15 years), Kay O Grady (20 years), Arun Kumar (20 years), and Jim Delahunty (25 years).

| EXHIBITION HIRE / EXPO HIRE OPENS STATE-OF-THE-ART MELBOURNE PRODUCTION FACILITY |
Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire has opened a state-of-the-art, 4000 square metre production facility in Melbourne to further enhance its design, construction and maintenance of custom exhibition stands.
The new facility in Altona is home to 12 production staff and replaces the company’s 1500 square metre Port Melbourne premises.
Designed to accommodate Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire’s most ambitious and complex custom projects, the facility includes a new CNC router and spray booth, along with additional space for stand maintenance and storage.
“Custom exhibition stands are growing more elaborate each year and the move to Altona provides us with the machinery and space to undertake any project, no matter how large or intricate it may be,” said Jim Delahunty, CEO, Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire.
Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire has made its mark on Australia’s exhibition floors this year with a series of innovative and boundary-pushing custom stands.
The company’s double-storey stand for Etihad Airways, which incorporated a replica airport lounge and Formula One model car, proved a highlight of the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo in February, while its stand for Woolworths, which featured a company logo made entirely from fresh limes, was one of several award winners at the 2009 Sydney Royal Easter Show.
“Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire has established a position at the forefront of custom stand design and construction in Australia and the new production home in Melbourne, which complements our Peakhurst facility in Sydney, will ensure we maintain this position in the years ahead,” said Delahunty.
